A new musical drama inspired by Dickens' Great Expectations. 

Great Expectations: The Making of a Gentleman is a new musical drama by Peter Tierney. Written in a contemporary musical theatre style with a focus on character and storytelling, the piece follows Pip from the forge on the marshes to a world of wealth and status, where the ambition of becoming a gentleman gives way to disillusion.

Recent milestone: Staged reading presented at Wexford Arts Centre (June 2026).
